Registration for Academic Courses, Online Courses, and Summer Intensive Studies

Thank you for your interest in UCLA Summer Sessions. We hope you decide to join us for an academically, socially, and culturally enriching experience!

Please carefully review the information below before proceeding to register. When ready to register, select "YES, CONTINUE TO REGISTRATION" at the bottom of this page.

To view Summer 2022 course offerings at UCLA, you may visit the Schedule of Classes and search for courses by subject area. We recommend you read the course description of all classes you intend to take and verify the course has both space availability and is the correct course for your academic needs.

Course Requisites & Restrictions

Some courses require students to have taken specific courses to enroll. Transcripts or proof of completion of a requisite course is not required for non-UCLA students. Although proof is not required, visiting students should have experience comparable to the listed requisite. Furthermore, a small number of courses may be restricted to specific populations (e.g., UCLA students only). To view whether your desired course has restrictions, visit the Schedule of Classes, search for the course, then click on the symbol underneath the "Info" section.

If you are a high school student, you must be 15 years of age of older by June 21, 2022 to participate in Summer Courses, Summer Online, or Summer Intensives. Additionally, high school students may only enroll in courses on the pre-approved list unless given permission in advance from the UCLA Summer Sessions Office.

Lastly, students wishing to take MATH 1 or MATH 31A must take the Math Diagnostic Exam. For more information, visit the UCLA Mathematics Department website.

Non-Refundable Registration Fee

After completing this online form, you will be prompted to submit payment for the non-refundable registration fee ($150 for current UC students; $350 for all others). You will not be able to select your summer courses until the registration fee is successfully paid. NOTE: the registration fee does NOT cover the full cost of attendance.

We recommend verifying course availability on the Schedule of Classes before paying the registration fee, as the fee is non-refundable, even in the event the course is waitlisted or closed.

Fees and Payment

Summer fees for summer courses are assessed based on the number of units enrolled and your student type. Students may find a detailed estimate of their full tuition costs on the Fees and Financial Aid page of the Summer Sessions website.

The Summer 2022 Payment Deadlines:

  • Non-UC Students: 5PM, May 13 (PDT)
  • UC Students: 5PM, June 17 (PDT)

If enrolling after the payment deadline, tuition fees are due within 1-2 business days after enrolling.

Note: Delinquency in payment may result in enrollment cancellations, holds on academic records, and/or collection actions. Additionally, summer fees, charges, and offerings are subject to change, without prior notice. In the event of a course cancellation, the University is not responsible for any consequential loss or expenses incurred as a result.

Refund Policy

If you drop all courses on MyUCLA before the second Friday of the course (first Friday for impacted courses or Summer Intensive Studies courses), you will be eligible to receive a refund for all associated fees except the registration fee. If eligible for a refund, payments made with a credit card will be reimbursed to the card of original payment. Otherwise, a check will be sent in the mail. No fees are refundable after the refund deadlines, and students will be financially liable.
